International recognition highlights Oshawa’s growing strength as a destination for investment, innovation and business growth

The City of Oshawa is proud to announce it has been recognized as one of Canada's Best Locations for 2026 by Site Selection magazine, a leading publication covering corporate real estate, economic development and investment attraction.

The annual ranking recognizes communities across Canada that are successfully attracting investment, supporting business expansion and creating high-quality employment opportunities. Communities are evaluated using 2025-26 data from Site Selection’s Conway Projects Database, which tracks qualifying corporate facility investments and measures economic performance through project activity, capital investment and job creation.

The recognition places Oshawa alongside leading investment destinations across the country and reinforces the city’s growing reputation as a hub for advanced manufacturing, technology, clean energy, life sciences, defence innovation and logistics.

This achievement reflects Oshawa’s competitive advantages, including its strategic location, talented workforce, innovation ecosystem, commitment to supporting investment and industrial development incentives. It also underscores the collaborative efforts of Oshawa’s business community, educational institutions and industry partners in driving economic growth and opportunity.
